Yr 1's Swing Too!!

We are now well underway with Yr 1 Swinging project and it's going well so far. All songs are learnt and it's just a case of polishing up choregraphy and everyone feeling confident with what they need to do.

We have been very tight for time in terms of rehearsals so I think it's been a really great effort to get so much work done in the time available. Everyone has done really well so far. There has been a lot of effort to create great choreography as well. We literally will be all singing all dancing!!

I know that the residents as Sunrise nursing home in Banstead will be greatly looking forward to our performance and will really appreciate the thought gone into this project. The yr 2s performance was recieved very well at the Purley home. We have some really well chosen songs and a nice variety.

I am very much looking forward to seeing how it all goes on Tuesday. Keep practicing!!

Yr2 Performance

We had a great performance at the Purley sunrise on Thursday. The managers there were so impressed with the quality and enjoyed our concert so much that they have invited Nescot back and have propased that we regualrly could perform there!! This shows how with focus and the right material aimed at the specific audience what can be achieved.

Well done year 2s. We only had a short time to get this ready and we pulled off a lovely event that was something that benefitted us but was also great to give something back in our local community. I look forward to reading all your blogs and hearing how you perceived the experience.

Let's Swing yr2s!

1st attempt at a blogging so let's see if it works...!!!  :)

Level 3, 2nd yrs project Let's Swing to be performed at Sunrise Nursing Home in Purley, @ 11am 19 April is well underway. We have a programme of 10 great songs of songs from the 40s and 50s era of music, with a mix of solos, duets and group numbers of varying sizes and it's all starting to come to together really well. With music ranging from doo-wop, to easy and listening through to country we have covered a wide musical spectrum. This promises to be a diverse and entertaining performance.


It is great that we have the opportunity to perform at Sunrise. The audience will hopefully know and love the songs we have selected and may even sing along or dance! They have been so pleased to have us coming in to entertain that they have decided to make it a whole music day at the home, with afternoon activities planned as well.


I am very much looking forward to seeing how our performance all comes together. Let's keep up the good work and here's to a great concert!
